Kempton Towers was a Social Housing Regulatory Authority Project with a specific funding model, special funding requirements and extremely tight timeframes. Our involvement from the onset of this project ensured these specific requirements were met.
This 9-storey, 13 720sqm, residential development in Kempton Park, consisting of 240 social housing units, required a cost-efficient structural design solution without compromising on quality. A concrete frame structure with variable concrete column sizes and a thin slab design was utilized to reduce the cost of the building, while optimized reinforcement design and detailing led to a 10% cost saving on the initial estimated reinforcement budget.
